Like all charities we rely on the generosity of donations made by individuals and organsiations to be able to function. Since the creation of the Alton College Foundation we have seen around two hundred thousand pounds raised and put to good use.


We continue to seek further 'Sponsors' so that we can continue to develop the work that we do. Our existing Sponsors come from a wide range of backgrounds, mostly from the local community, some specifying specific subjects for scholarship awards others leaving if for the Foundation to decide how best their money should be used. We positively encourage contact between Sponsors and Scholars starting at the award ceremony right the way through the students time at Alton College and after they leave. The amount donated by Sponsor does vary and of course for inviduals we use the Gift Aid scheme to further boost the funds available.


We also look for 'Founder Members'. These are individuals or corporations who take a more active role in our operation, attending informal lunch time meetings where we discuss our progress and new ideas. In return they provide the funding needed for our administration.
