Mrs Merry Frankel. Former Chair of Governors, Alton College, and current a Dierctor at the Alton College Foundation. Merry has been hugely supportive of the college over the years but her Sponsorhip here is bittersweat as it is given in memory of her late husaband Richard who died in a tragic road traffic accident in 2008. Richard was consultant physician and endrocrinologist at Frimley Park Hospital. Hugely respected by his peers and much missed he encouraged education in all forms and this scholarship will hopefully encourage recipients to follow his steps into Medicine.
